A new User Interface for the GM Care Record

What is V4?

GMCR V4 is a major upgrade to the User Interface of the GMCR, due to be released later this year. It will look quite different to how the GMCR looks now, but will enhance the user experience by improving the navigation and accessibility of the system.

Improvements and new features will include:

• Adaptive layout & intuitive navigation bar.
• New summary page & use of modal (pop up) windows.
• Improved iconography & highlighting of key information.
  

The launch date for GMCR V4 has moved from July to September 2025.

New GMCR User Interface

Click around on the wireframe below to see how the new GMCR V4 User Interface will function. Use the arrows in the top right corner to enlarge the screen.

The underlying system and data sources will remain unchanged. Users will continue to access the GMCR in the same way, through Single Sign On (SSO) from their organisation’s existing Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system or a stand-alone browser account.

Benefits of V4

Along with the new GMCR V4 interface being more intuitive to use and accessible, there are a number of further enhancements and new functionality available in the new interface. These include:

• Blood Results – Can now be sorted and filtered by the collection date
• Pathology Results – Displayed information improved and increased filtering options
• Medication View – Improved clarity and accessibility of prescribing information
• Data Time Stamped – Provides a clear indication when a record was updated
• Timeline – Patient and Clinician activity can be viewed chronologically
• Improved Help Facility – Direct links to user support and documentation
• Enhanced Security – Web Application Firewall (WAF) introduced
